Whether you're celebrating on your actual birthDAY, or your birthday week, or taking your whole birthday month to look back and look forward on your life, these ideas and prompts will help you make the most of this period of introspection.

The 4 sections of the birthday journal:

Timeline

Pick a timeline you want to document. You can do your whole life or if that’s too daunting, choose an event or an area of your life (like career or family).

Don’t worry about being too meticulous. Just write whatever comes up. You can fill in gaps later if you’d like, but this exercise puts you in the spirit of the Birthday Journal
